March 18, 2020

To our member wineries and the San Diego County community,

Amid these times of uncertainty during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the San Diego County Vintners Association (SDCVA) wanted to update you on the latest news impacting the San Diego County wine community.

The SDCVA obtained the Health Officer Order issued on March 16, 2020, by the County of San Diego and it states:

All bars and other business establishments that serve alcohol and do not serve food, shall close.

The SDCVA board is attempting to obtain further clarification from the County as to whether this means wineries shall be closed for just serving wine, or closed completely, which would include being closed for the pick-up of bottled wine for carry out. remotepilot101.com

To our wine community:
Please continue to monitor the SDCVA website and our Facebook and Instagram accounts for the latest updates. We will continue to share updates that pertain to San Diego County wineries and the wine community.

Lastly, your questions, feedback, personal experiences, or any additional suggestions are encouraged and appreciated. Please direct your communication to SDCVA President Ed Embly at ed@hungryhawkvineyards.com and SDCVA Vice President Ray Schnorr at ray@highlandvalleyvineyards.com.

Until then, we wish you good health.

Thank you,
San Diego County Vintners Association
