San Diego County Vintners Association Annual Wine Festival Returns!

The All-local wine festival is back Sunday May 21st at Bernardo Winery
Festival concludes exciting new San Diego Wine Week

 

SAN DIEGO, CA- Grab your glass and a friend, the only all San Diego winery wine festival is back! The San Diego Vintner’s Associate (SDCVA) will be holding their annual Wine Festival on Sunday, May 21st 2023 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Bernardo Winery, in Rancho Bernardo.

Featuring over 20+ San Diego Wineries all in one place, winemakers will be pouring their latest wine releases on the lawn in one of Bernardo Wineries picturesque outdoor venues. Each guest will receive their own personal cheese and charcuterie plate to enjoy while they sip wine and enjoy the San Diego sunshine. Attendees can chat with the wine makers and learn more about their craft and the varietals grown in San Diego County’s thriving and diverse wine region. “This festival is a great way to taste what San Diego wine country has to offer” says Bernardo Winery owner Ross Rizzo. From wineries tucked away in the hills of San Diego to urban wineries, a wide variety of wines will be available for tasting, representing San Diego County’s varied terroir. “The Vintners Wine Festival is a perfect cap to ‘San Diego Wine Week’ (May 15-21), a weeklong celebration of San Diego wines and wineries” notes San Diego County Vintners Association President Ray Schnorr, owner of Highland Valley Vineyards in Escondido.

In addition to unlimited wine tastings, there will be a wine-themed silent auction, live music, and the opportunity for attendees to purchase their favorite wines from the festival onsite. Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite.com or at the SDCVA website, www.sandiegowineries.org. Tickets are $70 for early bird sales (by May 1) and $80 after that. Adults 21+ only admitted. Funds raised support the San Diego County Vintner Association education programs and marketing the local wine region.

The San Diego County Vintners Association (SDCVA) is a non-profit trade association that supports the winemaking community throughout San Diego County. There are approximately 150+ artisan and family-owned wineries and vineyards throughout the county and many microclimates, allowing for cultivation of a wide range of grape varietals.
